Hi SASF Volunteers,
We’re excited to announce that we are now scheduling our new dog training classes, which will be led by our new Director of Training, Curtis Johnson. These sessions are designed to support you with updated skills and knowledge, while also fulfilling the requirements under New York State’s Companion Animal Care Standards Act.
All volunteers who wish to participate as dog walkers, regardless of prior experience, are required to complete this training. This applies to all walking levels (green, yellow, and orange).
Starting Sunday, 3/29, volunteers who have not yet completed this training will not be permitted to walk dogs. We encourage everyone to sign up as soon as possible so you can continue spending time with our dogs and providing them with the care they need. I will be putting up several dates in the"opportunities"tab on the volunteer portal to sign up.
