The Hampton Bays Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society will be visiting the shelter with 10 students and a chaperone for a 2-hour volunteer experience! Volunteer Sue Denis will be leading this special event.
The students are excited to help with tasks around the shelter, including:
- Making Kongs for the dogs
- Socializing with cats
- Spending time with dogs
We are looking for one additional helper to assist during this opportunity. Programs like this inspire compassion, responsibility, and advocacy for animals in the next generation. Kids are our future advocates, and we are so excited to welcome these students to the shelter!
