Description

Southampton Animal Shelter Dog Walking Training for Volunteers

The Southampton Animal Shelter is in need of qualified volunteers to walk our dogs, especially "yellow" and "orange" residents. The training for volunteers will be provided on weekends through January 2022. You must attend all training sessions to be able to walk green, pink, orange and yellow dogs.

All potential dog walkers must complete at least Parts 1 and 2.

Please note, if you have not walked dogs in six or more months, you must attend the training. If you are currently an active, volunteer dog-walker, we ask that you participate in the training as a refresher and to learn about new techniques and SASF's preferred training methods.
